Government of India has taken several initiatives like Skill India, Start Up India, Stand Up India, Make In India , Swayam Online Education, National Digital Library, Invest India, Ease of Doing Business, NITI Ayog – State Start Up Rankings, Aspirational Districts Program, Vision Document for New India, Transforming India, World Skills Competition, National Career Service portal , Khelo India, Digital India, Common Service Center ( student support services like preparation for competitive exams, election card, pan card, rail – air – bus reservation, hostel accommodation bookings etc ), Apprenticeship Scheme, Volunteering – Internship Initiative, National Innovation Foundation, CSIR Technologies, GST, Labour Reforms, National Research Development Corporation, SIDBI Small B and others ).
There are various internationally acclaimed Programs like Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB), Youth Entrepreneurship, Decent Work Initiatives, Green Business etc from ILO and Generation Unlimited, UNCTAD from United Nations and other similar initiatives to promote and develop vocational skills and self-employment.
Many a times it is observed in Impact Assessment Study’s that there is Gap and Opportunities for Improvement between Govt Schemes and Programs and its Implementation Accessibility by the end user – beneficiaries.
To remediate and mitigate the Issue stated at C) above, At School of Open Learning (SOL) – University of Delhi, North Campus a New Initiative viz Launch of
Entrepreneurship Cell – Incubator and Accelerator Center of Excellence has been taken towards end of Year 2018.
Students of SOL, Alumni of SOL can avail of Skilling and Entrepreneurial support (General, SC/ST/OBC, Divyang, North Eastern Region, Women, and UnemployedYouth)and any other category of deserving applicants that promotes Make In India and Self Employment in rural and or urban areas across India.
Every Week - Tuesday, Thursday – North Campus(Near Vishwavidalaya Metro Station), Timings 11:30a.m. to 2:30p.m.
2nd and 4th Saturday of Each Month – South Campus (Near Durgabai Deshmukh MetroStation), Timings 11:30a.m. to 2:30p.m.
1st and 3rd Sunday – Center of Open Learning,Keshavpuram, North Delhi, Delhi (near keshavpuram metro station), Timings 1:30p.m. to 3:30p.m.
